Invite Friendship

Ephesians4:29. "Don't let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. "

I think it's important when a woman has a close friendship with another woman. My husband and I have a close communicative relationship. But, occasionally I just need to talk with my sister, Pam.  Why?  Because we are on similar wave-lengths. We understand each other and she is a good listener. We, as women, have unique experiences and it's easy to relate and understand each other and show compassion to each other. I realize not all of us have close sibling friendships to fall back on. So, it's valuable to invite new friendships. Remember, it takes time to build trust and closeness in love. It has to be a mutual pursuit. The Lord will show you how to do it. Call someone today and make a plan to get together, or just venture out of your own routine and be spontaneous. If your first attempt isn't met with success, then ask God who else you should reach out to. The effort it takes to invite friendship will be worth it!

I love Proverbs 27:9b!

"Oil and perfume make the heart glad; so does the sweetness of a friend's counsel that comes from the heart."
